Why do we need to go to Mars?
Throughout the history of humanity, humans have always looked to the stars and dreamed of voyaging there. As we searched even further, we discovered the Red Planet along with its untapped potential. Ares IV wants to make the dreams of humanity by taking them to Mars. We believe that Mars is the next step for humanity, and our goal is to establish a new colony on its surface. Learning and discovering more about the planet up close can help humans find out more about planets, the solar system, and how it works, which can be extremely helpful if humanity wants to explore more of our galaxy in the future. Across our years humanity has constantly been exploring and conquering our planet––and we want to carry on this legacy, in a much more peaceful way than our ancestors did. Finally, we want to learn more about who we are as a species, whether we were made for interplanetary travel, or to remain on the place where we were seemingly meant to be.

How will we get to Mars?
We will get to Mars with rockets using liquid fuel. Liquid methane and liquid oxygen are going to be used as fuel. We will send people in a large pod on an 80 day flight. Electromagnets will be used to shield the spacecraft from harmful radiation. Hopefully, our spaceships will be sent in large fleets.

How will we build and sustain our first martian colony?
Our colony will be made from materials brought to mars previously by a series of crash landers. The crew will build the colony from the materials in the crash landers. We will use carbon fiber to build the most important materials in our colony. Solar powered technology is going to take carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen and carbon nanotubes. Our goal in terms of sustainable food is to grow food on Mars and receive shipments of food from Earth periodically.

What is our vision for future human societies on Mars?
We plan for a free and equal Martian society in which the government would be ran on site by the people. Historically, governments thousands of miles away did not work well. Due to all the logistics there is to handle this would be the best way to govern. In an ideal society, there would be no crimes, however we still need to prepare for this inevitability. Our justice system would be similar to the United States', since it allows people to a trial before they are put in jail.
